That varies based on the color.
For deeper tones, the color can last between 3-6 months with proper hair care.
For pastels & neons, the color typically lasts between 1-3 months with proper hair care.
Why? The lighter the colors, the less pigment is the color. The colors that have less pigment don't have as much room to fade before they are just gone. If you're wanting longevity, darker or deeper colors last longest!
How do I take care of my vivid Hair?
Shampoo as infrequently as possible with COLD water.
Use sulfate-free, Paraben-free shampoo & Conditioner. (We recommend Matrix Keep Me Vivid!)
use a uv-protectant in your hair.
use a heat protectant any time you heat style.
Consider getting a showerhead filter to remove impurities that can strip your color out!
Avoid chlorine pools & salt water. if you have to go into them, damp your hair and spray a leave-in conditioner on it beforehand to help prevent fading as much as possible.
